Despite losing to the New Orleans Saints in their NFL preseason opener 17-7, the Cincinnati Bengals had a lot to be happy about. Most significantly, they were elated over the return of QB Carson Palmer after he’d missed most of the last NFL season. His solid performance gave them even more to be happy about despite being on the wrong end of the final score. When you live in Cincinnati, however, you’re used to having to take what you get so Palmer’s serviceable performance led to mass celebration in the streets of ‘The Queen City’.

New Orleans had their share of offensive highlights, with QB Drew Brees hooking up with tight end Jeremy Shockey for three completions including Shockey’s first touchdown reception in a Saints uniform. It was a harbinger of things to come, as Shockey would later catch a touchdown pass in the Saints’ remarkable Superbowl victory over the heavily favored Indianapolis Colts. Alabama didn’t so much win their game against Tennessee on Saturday as much as they escaped. Despite playing one of their worst games of the year they managed to keep their undefeated season alive as nose tackle Terrance Cody blocked a potential game winning field goal on the last play of the game to preserve a 12-10 victory for the Crimson Tide. Alabama held a tenuous 12-3 lead late in the game before a Tennessee touchdown and recovered onside kick had them facing the specter of the defeat for the first time this season. Instead, Alabama improved to 8-0 while Tennessee slipped to 3-4.

College football pointspread players who took Tennessee as +14 road underdogs were in good shape throughout the contest and eventually cashed their tickets. The Vols improved to 4-3 against the spread while the Crimson Tide dropped to 5-3 versus the number. The 22 combined points went well UNDER the posted total of 41′.

After the game, Cody recounted his blocked field goal attempt that saved the day:

Poker tells are one of the most important aspects of poker and they help to separate poker from other games of luck. When playing poker, it is crucial to observe your opponents in order to pick up on any clues they make inadvertently give away. Poker tells can include any piece of information gathered including voluntary and involuntary movements, verbal cues and behavioural patterns. The best part about tells is that every single poker player has them, and if you observe enough hands closely enough, you will eventually find them. Be careful though, some players try to give off reverse tells to trap you.

Eyes The eyes are the windows to a person’s soul. The length of stare at hole cards is a key timing tell, each person is different but some people can help but stare longer at their hole cards when they have a big hand. Others quickly snap the cards back down as soon as they see a monster. Another glaringly obvious tell is the glancing to the left consider a steal if in position. Quickly glancing at their chips when the flop comes down usually means they hit a piece of the flop. Former UFC fighter Kimo Leopoldo is alive and well after numerous mainstream media reports of his death. The New York Daily News was first to report the story that Kimo had died of a heart attack, and it quickly spread to other media outlets. MMA insiders were immediately skeptical, as there were few details or any independent confirmation.

A few hours later, the story began to unravel. First, Kimo’s agent indicated that he had spoken to him at 11 PM Monday night and that he was alive and well. He did add that he hadn’t spoken to him since, but that he had not received word from anyone close to Kimo of a problem nor had he been contacted by any authorities. Shortly after 2:00 PM Tuesday, Kimo’s attorney reported that the fighter had been located and was alive and well. Theres still a question of how the report that he was dead made it out in the first place, but the New York Daily News isnt providing much of an explanation–theyve simply deleted the report without comment and will presumably pretend it never happened. There’s some suggestion that the rumor started in an online MMA forum, and Kimo has suggested that he’ll pursue legal action against the perpetrator.  Read more...

Fantasy sports allow everyday people to live out the life of a sports manager or talent scout. Fantasy players have played for years, but once fantasy sports were available on the internet their popularity soared.

While fantasy football and baseball still lead in popularity, fantasy golf is being played more and more each year. Almost all of the large fantasy sport sites run fantasy golf leagues. The entry fees are set at different prices. There are some games you can play for free. Other games charge a set fee to play or a fee each time you make a transaction. Typically, the larger the entry fee, the more experienced the players are.

The rules vary depending on which league you decide to enter but typically you will form teams of pro golfers each week. Your score depends on how well your players do. Fantasy league typically run the entire golf season ending with the Tour Championship. However, some leagues will start games midseason where only the rankings from that point on will count for your score totals.

In addition to the fun of playing, most fantasy games offer cash prizes to those who have done the best at the conclusion of the season. A league might also offer weekly prizes to the top performer of that week.  Read more...

And is that in which we know will be the last year , this incarnation of ” Clark Kent on our screens , producers do not think a hair cut and will throw the house through the window. Yes, a warning. * The Superman costume rojiazul will make his first appearance in the first episode of the season and will reappear later.

There is a lot to love about Terminator 2 – Judgment Day. It is up there with many other classic science fiction movies as one that is indispensable to the genre. The cinematography is great, and when the aspects of fate and trying to save the world are mixed in with the sometimes cheesy dialog and acting, we are left with one incredibly charming movie.

This movie pits the ragtag group of John Conner, Sarah Conner, and the Terminator against a much more futuristic Terminator known as the T-1000. The T-1000 is a nearly indestructible robot from further into the future than the original Terminator.

The heroes in the story are trying to stop a global Armageddon that is going to have the machines taking over the world. There is a thought that occurs to Sarah about halfway through the movie that she is going to be able to stop this impending doom of the human race. We find out in the next movie that, though they seem to succeed in this movie, they only managed to move the date back of this take over.  Read more...
